MOBCRANE – Mobile Crane Training

This training program is designed to teach personnel knowledge of mobile crane safety.

YOU WILL LEARN:

• Causes and results of crane accidents
• Types and components of mobile cranes
• How mobile cranes are rated
• How to interpret and use load charts
• Pre-lift considerations and proper set up
• Safe operating practices
• How to perform and pre-operation inspection
• Correct hand signals
• Procedures for safely working around power lives
• How to comply with OSHA and ANSI standards
• How to conduct pick & carry procedures
• Basic Rigging of loads

We gladly offer this class with less than the minimum number of students. The total course cost will be pro-rated for the actual number of students attending the course.

DAY ONE:
I. Introduction 30 min.
II. Shuttle lift Safety (Video) 25 min.
→ Video Review 30 min.
Break 15 min.
III. Discussion of OSHA 126.550 and ANSI 13.30.5 1 hour
IV. Crane Safety (Video) 24 min.
→ Video Review 30 min.
V. Crane Inspection (Video) 15 min.
→ Video Review 15 min.
Lunch 30 min.
VI. Set Up for Safety 20 min.
→ Video Review 20 min.
VII. How to Interpret a Load Chart 20 min.
→ Video Review 30 min.
VIII. Hand Signal Communication 20 min.
→ Video Review 20 min.
IX. Rigging and Lifting with Hydraulic Crane 26 min.
→ Video Review 1 hour

DAY TWO:
Hands on Shuttle Lift 8 hours

DAY THREE:
Test (30 questions) 2 hours
Test (10) questions Load Chart Test 1 hour
Test Review 2 hours
Performance Test 3 hours
