DOTLU4 – DOT Load/ Unload

This training meets current regulatory DOT requirements for training as listed in 49 CFR Part 172, Sub part H – Training.

Course Description:

This training ensures that a hazmat employee has familiarity with the general provisions of this sub chapter. He or she is capable of recognizing and identifying hazardous materials, has the basic knowledge of the requirements for performing the (function specific) tasks of his job, and has knowledge of emergency response requirements, security awareness, self protection measures and accident prevention methods and procedures. The employees will be furnished with handouts that provide guidance and directions to the proper regulatory section that covers their particular hazmat job function.

Who Should Attend: Any person who in the course of employment directly affects hazardous materials transportation safety requires training.  This course will provide function-specific training for individuals who load and unload hazardous materials. An example of an individual who should take this course would be an individual who loads or unloads hazardous material into drums and prepares them for shipment off island.
